Diagnosis Of Piles
A medical history followed by visual examination of the anus is usually enough. However, a digital examination and Proctoscopy ( a scope is inserted to examine the anal canal ) is done to confirm the diagnosis. At times a Barium study or Colonoscopy may be advised if your doctor suspects any other cause of bleeding that needs to be ruled out.

Piles (Hemorrhoid)
Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are swollen or inflamed veins located in the lower part of your rectum and anus. These blood vessels can swell, much like varicose veins in the legs.
They are very common and can develop for several reasons, including straining during bowel movements, chronic constipation, pregnancy, and sitting for long periods.
Piles can be:
Internal: Forming inside the rectum, where they usually aren't seen or felt.
External: Forming under the skin around the anus, where they are more likely to cause pain.
Common Symptoms of Piles
Symptoms can vary in severity and type, but the most common ones include:
Bleeding: Seeing bright red blood on the toilet paper, in the toilet bowl, or on the stool after a bowel movement. This is often painless.
Itching and Irritation: A persistent itch, soreness, or general irritation in the anal region.
Pain or Discomfort: This is more common with external piles, especially when sitting or during a bowel movement.
Lumps and Swelling: You may be able to feel a tender, soft, or hard lump on or around the anus.
Mucus Discharge: A slimy discharge of mucus may be noticed after passing a stool.
Incomplete Feeling: A feeling that your bowels are not fully empty even after using the toilet.

Fissure - Intro & Symptoms
An anal fissure (or fissure) is a small tear, cut, or open sore in the thin, moist lining of the anus (the opening where stool exits the body). It is a very common condition and is often confused with hemorrhoids, though they are different.
Fissures are most frequently caused by trauma to the anal canal, such as:
Passing large, hard, or dry stools (constipation)
Straining during bowel movements
Chronic diarrhea.
Common Symptoms of a Fissure:
The symptoms of a fissure are often distinct and can include:
Severe Pain: A sharp, tearing, or "like passing glass" pain during a bowel movement.
Lingering Pain: A deep, burning, or throbbing pain that can last for several minutes or even hours after a bowel movement. This is caused by spasms in the anal sphincter muscle.
Bleeding: Seeing bright red blood on the toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. The blood is typically not mixed in with the stool.
A Visible Tear: You may be able to see a small crack in the skin around the anus.
Itching: An intermittent itch or irritation in the anal area.
Lump or Skin Tag: A small lump or skin tag (called a sentinel pile) may develop at the edge of the fissure, especially if it has been there for a while.

Fistula
A fistula is an abnormal, tunnel-like connection that forms between two parts of the body that are not normally connected. This can be:
Between two internal organs (such as the intestine and the bladder)
Between an organ and the surface of the skin (such as the anal canal and the skin near the anus)
Fistulas are most commonly caused by infection, inflammation (like from Crohn's disease), injury, or as a complication from surgery.
Common Symptoms of a Fistula
The symptoms of a fistula depend entirely on its location and size. However, common signs often involve the abnormal passage of fluids or substances.
Abnormal Discharge: This is a key sign. You might notice pus, blood, stool, or urine leaking from an opening on the skin or from a different body part (e.g., from the vagina).
Pain & Discomfort: The area around the fistula may be painful, tender, or throbbing. This pain can sometimes get worse with movement, sitting, or during bodily functions like urination or bowel movements.
Swelling & Redness: Inflammation or infection at the fistula site can cause noticeable swelling, redness, and warmth of the skin.
Fever & Chills: If the fistula becomes infected or leads to an abscess (a collection of pus), you may develop systemic symptoms like fever, chills, and a general feeling of being unwell or fatigued.
Skin Irritation: Constant drainage from a fistula can irritate and damage the surrounding skin.

Pilonidal Sinus
A pilonidal sinus (PNS) is a small hole or "tunnel" in the skin that forms in the cleft (crease) at the top of the buttocks. The term "pilonidal" literally means "nest of hair," as these sinuses often contain hair and skin debris.
It is believed to be an acquired condition, most likely caused by loose hairs that puncture the skin and become embedded. Friction, pressure from prolonged sitting ("Jeep's disease"), and having coarse body hair are common risk factors.
This sinus tract can become infected, leading to a painful pilonidal cyst or abscess.
Common Symptoms of a Pilonidal Sinus
Many people have a pilonidal sinus without any symptoms, only noticing a small, painless dimple or pit in the skin.
However, if the sinus becomes infected, symptoms can develop quickly and include:
Pain: A dull ache or sharp, throbbing pain at the base of the spine (tailbone area), which often gets worse when sitting.
Swelling and Redness: A tender, red, swollen lump (a cyst or abscess) will form in the area.
Drainage: You may see pus or blood draining from the opening in the skin. This drainage may have a foul odor.
Fever: In some cases, a fever and a general feeling of being unwell (malaise) can accompany the infection.
Tenderness: The area will be sore and tender to the touch

Perianal Abscess
A perianal abscess is a painful, pus-filled lump that forms under the skin near the anus. It is essentially a localized infection, similar to a boil or a large, deep pimple.
This condition occurs when one of the small glands that line the anal canal gets blocked. When this blockage happens, bacteria can get trapped, leading to an infection and the buildup of pus, which forms the abscess.
Common Symptoms of a Perianal Abscess
The symptoms of a perianal abscess usually develop quickly and can become severe. They include:
Constant, Throbbing Pain: This is the most common symptom. The pain is often worse when sitting down, coughing, or having a bowel movement.
Swelling and Redness: A visible, tender, red, and warm lump near the anal opening.
Fever and Chills: As the infection develops, you may experience systemic symptoms like a high temperature and feeling generally unwell.
Pus Drainage: You might notice a discharge of pus or blood from the area if the abscess bursts on its own.
Constipation: Pain during bowel movements can lead to difficulty or avoidance of passing stool.
Fatigue: A general feeling of tiredness or malaise due to the body fighting the infection.

This advanced procedure has a 100% success rate. It is designed to be a definitive and complete solution, offering you peace of mind that the treatment will be effective in resolving your condition.

Minimally Invasive - Low Blood Loss
We prioritize your comfort. This treatment methodology is specifically designed to be significantly less painful than conventional operations. You will experience minimal discomfort during and after the procedure, leading to a much more pleasant recovery.
